So I'm taller than Mom and I weigh more than she does! But I still like to try and sit on her lap and make her hold me like she did when I was a little puppy :) Except now when I sit on her, she can't breathe! Haha!!

Mommy decorated the other day and I have no idea what's going on. (what the heck does "decorated" mean?!?!) I just want to taste everything. The Christmas tree(I thought it was a big stick for me!), the lights, the stockings, it's all so new but Mommy yells at me when I put any of it in my mouth :( Sigh. Can't a dog have any fun around here?

Mommy and Daddy say that I've been going through a "stage" lately. I've been chewing on things and unraveling the toilet paper roll onto the floor. Oh and climbing into the shower while Mommy is in there and getting everything all wet and making Mommy squeal at me! And the garbage can? Have you ever stuck your head in there and seen the treasures??? Oh, you should try it! It's great! Totally worth getting scolded! Haha!!! I'm just trying to have fun but I guess some of these things are big no-nos! OOPS!!!

Oh well. Mommy says I have to sit pretty for more photos soon. Sigh....BUT I always get a treat when I do that so MAYBE I'll listen....... :)

Our big pumpkin head Truck went to the vet today :) He is 8 months old, weighs 117lbs and is approx 33 inches tall at the shoulders. He is a BIG boy and we love every inch of him :)

My little "big" sister passed away on Saturday evening. Mommy and Daddy are very sad. She was the coolest hamster around. She knew her name and would come to the front of the cage when called. She also let me stick my big face in her cage while she put her tiny paws on my nose and blinked real fast, hee hee. She would have been 3 years old next month. Rest in peace Lucy <3

I now weigh as much as Mommy does! LOL!! I knock her over all the time because I'm too heavy but I don't mean to. I just want to be close to her! I'm also taller than she is when I stand on my back legs and put my front feet on her shoulders. I like to eat her face when I do this, hee hee :) It's getting colder outside and I love to chase the leaves around the yard! Mommy and Daddy keep talking about how excited they are for me to see something called "snow" for the first time. I hope I like it...If I can play with it, eat it, or both then I'm sure I will like it! LOL!!! Well, I'm gonna go see if I can chew on some of Mommy's Halloween decorations outside and not get in trouble...hee hee :)

Ceiling Fans

So....ceiling fans. Mom swears they've been up there since her and Daddy brought me home in May but just lately they've piqued my interest. I bark at them, jump at them and I can reach the cord too! I get yelled at though. Hmmph. I just wanna play with them! Mommy says when I'm full grown I'm probably going to tear one right out of the ceiling. I don't know what she's talking about. I'm a GOOD boy :)

I'm 7 months old today! I'm 100 lbs and approx 32 inches tall (at the shoulders)!!! I'm getting more independent as the days go by too. I have fallen in love. With the bathtub. In fact this morning while Mommy was showering, I climbed right in with her!!! It was very chilly this morning so Mommy turned on our heat for a few minutes (it's forced air) well, I have never experienced this before and it scared the bejeezus outta me so that's why I hopped in the shower with Mommy. But other than that incident, I do LOVE the tub!! Here's some new pics of me and my handsome mug :)

I am NOT having my surgery next week! YAY! I am so happy about that! Daddy says I have no idea how close I was to losing my manhood, heehee. After much discussion and deliberation with my Daddy's breeder, my Mommy and Daddy decided it would be best to wait until I am a little older. Boy am I glad! The last thing I wanted to do was get surgery! (whatever that is?) It doesn't sound like fun. Sorry I haven't been keeping up my blog as much as I should but I have been busy helping my Gramma. She is getting married this weekend to my buddy Jeff! I really like Jeff, he plays with me all the time and calls me a pretty boy :) SO hopefully soon I will start blogging everyday again. Thanks for being patient!

Mommy and Daddy are finding my teeth on the floor everywhere! I keep losing them and bleeding all over my toys. Daddy took a picture of my teeth with his phone but it turned out really blurry so Mommy is going to take a picture with her good camera. I guess that means I'm getting to be a pretty big boy! Hee hee! I'm learning how to walk nice with a new harness that Mommy and Daddy bought me. It doesn't pull on my neck and it prevents me from pulling Mommy down the road on her face. :) I like to take walks with it. I find sticks to bring home and play with all the neighbor dogs! Well, I think I'm gonna go chew on some toys now. I have more loose teeth I need to get rid of!

The first picture was taken the weekend I came to my new home (Memorial Day Weekend 09) and the second picture was taken last night (August 13, 2009.) And yes that is the same, exact chair in both pictures. I guess I'm getting bigger! I don't feel like I am. I still like to sit on people's laps and play with little dogs. Mommy always says "ow!" or "oof" when I sit on her, I guess that's because I'm bigger than I thought I was! Hee hee!!!

BLOAT (GDV) INFO

Hello everyone! This is Truck's Mom. Today I just want to share some information on an important subject: Gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV) also known as Bloat. It is the number one killer of Great Danes. Truck is going to be having a procedure done next month called Gastropexy. Please read and share with fellow dog parents!

BLOAT
Gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV) is also known as "bloat," "stomach torsion," or "twisted stomach." Bloat is an extremely serious condition, and should be considered a life-threatening emergency when it occurs.
The gastric dilatation is one part of the condition and the volvulus or torsion is the second part. In bloat (dilatation), due to a number of different and sometimes unknown reasons, the stomach fills up with air and puts pressure on the other organs and diaphragm. The pressure on the diaphragm makes it difficult for the dog to breathe. The air-filled stomach also compresses large veins in the abdomen, thus preventing blood from returning to the heart. Filled with air, the stomach can easily rotate on itself, thus pinching off its blood supply. Once this rotation (volvulus) occurs and the blood supply is cut off, the stomach begins to die and the entire blood supply is disrupted and the animal's condition begins to deteriorate very rapidly.

THE SIGNS/SYMPTOMS OF BLOAT
The most obvious signs are abdominal distention (swollen belly) and nonproductive vomiting (animal appears to be vomiting, but nothing comes up) and retching. Other signs include restlessness, abdominal pain, and rapid shallow breathing. Profuse salivation may indicate severe pain. If the dog's condition continues to deteriorate, especially if volvulus has occurred, the dog may go into shock and become pale, have a weak pulse, a rapid heart rate, and eventually collapse. A dog with gastric dilatation without volvulus can show all of these signs, but the more severe signs are likely to occur in dogs with both dilatation and volvulus.

GASTROPEXY
A procedure called a gastropexy can be done to tack the right side of the stomach to the right side of the body wall using minimally invasive surgery. Truck will be having this procedure done in September.

Bee Sting Pics

Mommy and Daddy are a little frustrated with me right now. See, I really like to chase the bees in our yard. Which normally wouldn't be a problem except they usually end up biting me. When I get bit, I swell up like a balloon!!! I got bit right above the eye on Thursday and my eye swelled shut. Then on Friday I got bit on the lip and it swelled up three times it's normal size! I'm not allergic but I do have quite a reaction to the stings. Benadryl clears it up in a few hours. I just can't remember when I'm outside, not to play with the bees!! Mommy got a picture of my eye right after it happened but I wouldn't sit still for a good pic of my lip. (She will post the eye pic tomorrow.) So now I have Mommy and Daddy all worried and they watch me like a hawk when I'm outside. Yeesh! Mommy said all the people who work at the vet hospital know her name by now cause she calls them about me all the time! I'm just a big ball of trouble hee hee!

Growing up

So I was thinking yesterday that since I just turned 5 months old maybe its time for me to start acting my age, you know... more like the teenager that I am. So I decided I was going to sleep on my own bed last night instead of Mom and Dads bed. Of course I did ask them if I could put my bed beside their bed in their room... Baby steps ya know ;-) So, I decided it was time for bed, so I walked into the bedroom and laid down... Dad went and got me my favorite pillow that I like and a few of my toys and my special blanket. I got comfy and fell asleep... Well, I guess I didnt realize how difficult this was actually going to be. I was laying there on my bed and I woke up and it was totally dark and quiet! The longer I laid there I couldnt take it! I HAD to get in bed with Mom and Dad. So I got up and put my from paws on the bed, Dad woke up when he felt me and he grabbed me under my bum, picked me up and gave me a big hug and kiss and put me between him and Mom. It was SO COMFY and safe I fell asleep in about 10 seconds. I guess I'm not totally ready to be independent yet.

So lately when I go for a ride in the Jeep with Mommy and Daddy I've been noticing these strange things. I see a person, but they are not in a car and they usually have a big round thing on their head. Dad says these people are riding "motorcycles" Hmph. Whatev Dad. He says it's ok when they are behind us while we are driving but I don't think so. I get real close to Mom and Dad and give my scariest, loudest bark just to let them know that I mean business! They better stay away from me and my people! I don't care what Dad says, there is something fishy about those "motorcycles"!

I got a new frisbee to play with and when I pick it up and carry it around people always giggle and tell me how funny I am! I don't know why....

I really don't like Mondays. It means Mommy and Daddy have to go back to work. I hate it when they go to work. I miss them SO much!

I'm sleepy today so this will be a quick post.

I am 65lbs now! Growing bigger everyday! And I am learning new things all the time! I can now sit, lay down, get up, and give paw all by just watching hand signals! I don't need to hear the words anymore! Mommy and Daddy said that I am SO smart! I just really like to get the treats when I do things right...hee hee!!

Well, I'm gonna go catch up on my beauty rest now. I gotta stay cute forever, ya know! ;-)

Vacation Update!

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I was experiencing technical difficulties (which really means, I was too lazy to post! Hee hee!)

My vacation was AWESOME!! I got to spend tons of time with Mommy and Daddy! Let me tell you though, it did not start out very good...The first two days(saturday and sunday), I was a sick little boy :( I had bad poopies and was very sleepy. That Monday morning Daddy took me outside to go potty and as soon as I walked out onto the porch I threw up. BUT...I threw up THE GLOVE!! YAY!!! I felt pretty good after that! Mommy called the vet and they talked about my poops and said I had to eat boiled chicken and rice for a few days to get my stomach back to normal. CHICKEN IS THE BOMB!!! I absolutely LOVE chicken!
So for most of that week, we had some fun. I did a lot of playing outside, sleeping and eating, which is what I normally do but since it was vacation it was ten times better! My poops were looking good until about Wednesday afternoon. Then I got sick again. SO I had to go to the vet on Thursday. He gave me some medicine to take and some new food and Mommy had to rub some ointment on my bum cause it was really sore and red.
We left Friday for camp and that was my favorite part of our vacation. There were so many dogs at camp to meet and play with! And I got to swim in the river! I LOVED the river until.....I slipped and went completely underwater. Then I got scared and wouldn't go into the river again. I can't help it. I may be a big boy but I am still a baby. Hee hee!

GOLF CART RIDES. That's all I'm gonna say. I fell in love. I would very much like a golf cart for Christmas. Santa? You listening? I could have spent all weekend riding the golf cart, it was the BEST!!

We came home Sunday and I was a very sleepy puppy! My poops have been looking much better and the vet called Mommy on Sunday to check on me. I have to finish my medicine and special food so I can get back to healthy again!

Overall my first vacation ROCKED and I can't wait to do it all over again!!

Mondays are poopy....and so am I!

Well, I went to the vet Saturday morning to get my last shot and my second dose of the wormer meds. The doctor told my Mommy and Daddy that the latex glove may not come out for days, weeks or months! So they have to inspect every single poo I make. I don't envy them one bit cause I am stinky!! Hee hee :) They still have to watch me for signs of distress but the doctor wasn't too worried about it.

I had a really GREAT weekend! Mommy and Daddy took me to a park to play frisbee and chase my ball. It was SO much fun! I hate Mondays though because that means Mommy and Daddy have to go back to work :( That makes me sad. BUT they said that they are on vacation next week so we get to spend TONS of time together and I can't wait!!

I went with Mommy on a photo shoot last week and here's a pic Daddy took of me in the Jeep. I was a very good boy and I made the model laugh a lot. Hee hee!!

So...ummm....last night Mommy and Daddy took me to visit my Aunt Lisa and to play with my cousins Rocky and Lacy. Well, the visit didn't exactly go the way they had planned. I did a BAD thing... I, ummm, well, I swallowed a plastic/rubber glove. Whole. Like a spaghetti noodle. Oops. It was just so delicious, I couldn't help it. Aunt Lisa saw me grab it and she ran over and tried to take it from my mouth but I was way too fast. Mommy and Daddy were very upset and worried, they called the vet right away. The vet said that I should just poop it out and not to worry but Mommy had to stay home from work today to watch me in case I show signs of distress (whatever) I feel GREAT! I don't know what the big deal is. Yeesh. So I guess I'll let you know when it comes out. (There will NOT be any pictures of that!!) Heehee....

My 4th of July

I thought I would show you some pics of me relaxing at home before I tell you about my 4th of July weekend......why? BECAUSE I DID EVERYTHING BUT relax this past weekend! It was crazy fun!! I met two Dachshunds, Ruby and Charlie (both girls) and they were SO full of energy! Charlie just barked at me but Ruby ran circles around me until I was dizzy! She is SO fast! There was a Beagle named Henry who just cried every time I walked by him (he's a sweet old guy and I think he just wanted me to leave him alone) and Max a really furry Sheltie who played soccer with me in the yard. I was having SO much fun! I even almost went into the swimming pool! (almost being the key word there, hee hee!) The loud booms (Daddy says they were fireworks) didn't bother me at all either. We had a birthday party for my Gramma and one for my Uncle too. I also went up to my Paw-Paws house and played in his big yard! So I really like to eat. I mean REALLY. I love food! Breakfast is awesome! Lunch is really cool! Dinner is the BEST!! I mean, I eat the same thing for all 3 but it's good every single time! Yesterday Mom and Dad got the brilliant idea to give me a bath because they said I smell like fish. Why I smell like fish, I have no idea. I don't even know what fish is!! So, Mommy climbed into the tub with me while Daddy got the water ready. I thought they were giving me some kind of big, special drink because Daddy held the sprayer up to me and I lapped it up. The water was too warm for drinking though. I didn't mind the bath at first, I kinda liked the warm water and Mommy and Daddy scrubbing me with the good smelling stuff, but I was done after about a minute or two and wanted out! My paws couldn't get any traction and I was pretty much struggling to get outta there! Mommy and Daddy said "NO Truck, we are not done yet!" but I tried telling them that I WAS done! They never listen. When it was over, Daddy took me into the other room and rubbed me dry with a bunch of towels (I would have rather chewed on the towels than be dried with them but whatever Dad) When we were all done, Daddy leaned over, took a big sniff, looked at Mommy and said "He still smells like fish." Heehee...I guess there will be more baths in my future!

Mommy follows me around with this big black thing with a REALLY bright light! She always tells me to look handsome, and look here, and stay still, and wait and some other things I cant remember. Then, she aims the big black thing at me and then im blinded by a really bright light! I dont see how this is fun OR good for me for that matter! But, mommy always says YAY afterwards and gives me lots of love and praise. She tells me that she uses the big black thing to show people my goofy head :-) Whatever mom. Health Update!

Truck had an appointment with the vet on saturday morning. His blood test for the pancreatic disorder came back NEGATIVE! YAY! The vet took an in-depth look at his health history and found out that he had only been wormed for one type of worm. So on Sunday we started treating (worming) him for ALL types of worms. Truck is also on a strict diet of dog food only. No treats until he gets his bowels back to normal. (we do give him pieces of his dog food for training purposes and rewards) He gained 2 lbs since Monday so he is now up to 40lbs of love! And he is getting taller everyday! We have another appointment this coming Saturday for his first rabies vaccination and a check up. I will keep everyone posted on his condition.

He had a great weekend full of playing and social interaction! I will post pictures tomorrow!

BIG. LOUD. THUNDER. SCARY! Daddy took me outside to go potty last night and I was just sniffing around, minding my own business when all of a sudden....CRACK!! BOOM!! I don't think I ever ran so fast in my life! I hit the bottom of the steps, tripped and slid across the concrete. (Don't worry, no boo-boos!) Then I took the steps two at a time to get to the door! I had to get inside NOW!! Yeesh! That was SO SCARY! Mommy and Daddy were laughing and I have no idea why because it wasn't funny! Didn't they hear the loud noises?? I have no idea where they were coming from but I know that I didn't like it.

When it was bed time I crawled to the bottom of the bed where I normally sleep but that didn't last long. After two cracks of thunder, I belly crawled up to Mommy and Daddy and slept in between them where it was nice and safe. Whew! I stayed close to them all night. I really hope I don't hear the booms again any time soon...

Hello there! Just wanted to fill you in on a few things that have been going on with our Truckster! We've been having a bit of trouble getting his stool to harden up so we've made a few trips to the vet in the past few weeks. He's been on some meds,different food, and we tried the bland diet too but nothing seems to be working. Truck went to the vet yesterday and had some blood taken to check the enzymes in his pancreas. We won't get the results until the end of this week so please keep him in your thoughts! If he has a pancreatic disorder, it can be treated with a supplement. Oh, and he is now 38 lbs! I will keep the blog updated as soon as I hear from the veterinarian. Thanks for reading The Truck Stop!!

What I did this weekend!

I had so much FUN!! Mommy and Daddy took me to my Paw-Paw's house to play with my cousins, Rocky and Lacy. Paw-Paw is watching them while their people are on vacation. Paw-Paw has a really nice, big yard for us to run around and play in! Mommy brought her camera and took some pictures. She tried to take some of Rocky but he was too wound up to sit still for pictures but she did get a few of Lacy. I love to play with other pups! I'm still growing bigger everyday and I am learning a new command........"come!" When Mommy or Daddy says that word and I run to them, I usually get a treat and tons of praise. SO I think I'm gonna do that more often because I sure do love treats!!

Daddy said I was a REALLY good boy this weekend. Heehee! I was very cuddly with everybody and gave tons of kisses!

Well, I think I am gonna go nap now........I'm sleepy from my long weekend of playing. Please check out my pictures!!

Growth update!!

Daddy measured me this morning and I am 18 inches tall!! Mommy says I am putting on some good weight too because she can't see my ribs as much! Tomorrow we are going to get my nails trimmed. It will be my first time and I must admit that I am a little nervous. I have ticklish feet. Heehee!

I was a really good boy this morning. I had to make up for my ornery behavior yesterday morning :) I cuddled with Mommy and Daddy and listened really good. Sometimes it's hard though because I get distracted.....SQUIRREL!..........oops, see what I mean? Those darn squirrels get me everytime! Anyway, I am looking forward to spending the weekend with my mom and dad! It should be fun! Mommy will take more pictures of me and post them on Monday so check back then!!

I gotta go find that squirrel now.....

Wow! What a weekend I had! I spent lots of time outside because the weather was beautiful!! I went to a big party on Saturday and met lots of new faces. It made me really sleepy though. I grew another 1/2 an inch pretty much overnight. Mommy and Daddy have been giving me training lessons everyday. I don't understand why I need these but I guess they said because it will make their lives a lot easier. Whatever. I think I'm a good boy, although they get a little upset when I chew on my leash and try to take them for a walk. And when I dig in the yard. And when I run away with mommy's shoes in my mouth. And when I nip at their faces, hands and other various body parts. And when I take things out of the garbage can. And......I can't remember. I am trying my hardest to learn what they are teaching me though, because I want to make them happy! And because I get treats if I do things right! Heehee!!

Mommy said she is sorry that she did not have a chance to post pictures this weekend. I told her she better not upset my fans. She told me she's the boss and not to give her any lip. (heehee!) But she did say that there will be new pics up soon!!

So Daddy measured me this morning and I grew 2 1/2 inches taller since last week!! And he also thinks I gained about 5 lbs...how does he know this? Well, his shoulder is killing him and Mommy's lower back hurts (heehee) Oops.....guess I better get used to them not picking me up anymore.

I got Mommy and Daddy up waaaaay too early this morning. I couldn't help it. I wanted them to play with me SO bad. The clock had the numbers 3:23am on it....is that too early? I didn't think so but they seemed a little grumpy and groggy.

My Mommy is coming home at noon today and staying home!! YAY!!! I get so happy when that happens. I wish Daddy was going to be there too but I will get to see him later.

Hey, do you guys like the hairdryer? I do. It makes me sooooo sleepy. BUT, I do NOT like the sweeper/vacuum thing. It's big, loud and scary. I go hide when it comes out of the closet.

OK, I am going to rest up until Mommy comes home!

Things are back to normal today. My mommy came home from her meeting and boy was I happy to see her!! I had a rough day yesterday but I'm ok now. I just don't like to disrupt my routine. It makes my belly hurt (in case you were wondering where I get all these smart and fancy words at, I ask mom and dad! hehehe)

I was a little ornery yesterday though....I ran away from my Aunt Lisa, peed in my crate, tried to chew on everything that I wasn't allowed and overall was a big ole butthead. Heehee!! Mommy said it's cause I was just missing her and Daddy and I think she's right.

My Aunt Ashley is graduating from high school tonight so I am going to hang out with my Gramma while mommy and daddy go watch her. Gramma likes to get on the floor and play with me and give me lots of hugs and kisses so I'm pretty excited to see her later :)

By the way....I am growing bigger everyday now!! I weigh about 25lbs and I am 15 inches tall at my shoulders. Mom and Dad are going to measure me every week to see how fast I am growing so make sure you check the blog to see my progress!!

Gotta go hump my pillow now......uh-oh, I don't think I was supposed to share that with you! Oops!!!

Good morning everyone! Well its hump day, whatever that means? I heard dad say that this morning to mom. So today my mommy has a meeting in Pottsville, PA that she has to go to.. that kinda makes me sad cause she wont be able to come home in the afternoon and give me lunch and play with me! But I guess thats ok cause I just found out that my Aunt Lisa is coming up this afternoon to let me out and play with me!!!! IM REALLY excited about that cause my Aunt Lisa is AWESOME! she's so much fun! and she LOVES when I give her kisses! Well I guess i'll go take a nap until Aunt Lisa gets here so im rested up! So, I had the best weekend ever! I spent SO much time with my Mommy and Daddy and it was tons of fun! Mommy had a mini photoshoot with me yesterday and she said that I was a very handsome model. Mommy said that she will have the pictures ready as soon as she can so I can post them on here. I pretty much just chilled in the grass chewing on a stick while Mommy took pictures of me. I really wanted to taste her camera but Mommy and Daddy both said NO. Yeesh. All I wanted was a little taste.....sigh.....

I met a new friend in my neighborhood on Saturday. She is a boxer and her name is Nuggets Jane. (Silly name if ya ask me!) We ran and played chase, and chewed on hockey pucks together. Nuggets gets really excited and spins in circles so fast it makes me dizzy. She kept drooling on my head though. I can't wait until I get bigger so I can drool on her head instead! Heeeeheeee!!!

Well, I got a new toy yesterday at PetCo and it's calling my name so I better go chew on it.....see ya!!

I thought that today I would tell you about my sister! I just met her last night for the first time. See, she has been there since I first came home but I have been ignoring her for the most part until last night. Her name is Lucy and she is a hamster. Mommy and Daddy have had her almost 2 years now and they tell me that she is the smartest hammy they have ever met! Mommy picked me up and put my nose up against her cage and we sniffed each other. I like her. She smells good. I am very curious about her and think that I need to keep my eye on her some more. Mommy said that I am not allowed to eat her so I better get those thoughts out of my head now. I just wanna give her a little lick, that's all. I like to taste everybody and everything.

It stormed last night and I was afraid of the thunder. It's loud and scary. I hid under things.

Daddy says I'll get used to it. I hope so!

Today, I am home alone for a little bit until Mommy comes home for lunch. It's boring. I play with my toys and I sleep. I hope she comes home soon. I miss her. And Daddy too. Last night was a super special night! I got to sleep in bed with Mommy and Daddy!!! I felt so comfy and safe. It was wonderful! I hope they let me do it again tonight! I also had a special dinner of boiled hamburger and rice because Daddy said that my poopy was like turning on a firehose. Mommy said EW! But I guess it was better this morning because after Daddy took me out and I did my business, we ran inside and burst in on Mommy in the shower (hehhehehehee) and told her how good I did! I am really excited for the weekend, because I get to meet some more new friends and Mommy said she wants to do a photoshoot with me so I have to look extra handsome and sit like a good boy.

I think I can do that but only if I get treats. :)

I get to spend some time with my Daddy today :) That makes me SOOOO HAPPY!! Mommy had to go to work this morning (ew) and I cried when she left. I don't like when Mommy and Daddy leave. It makes me sad. I had a little trouble sleeping last night because I really needed to cuddle with someone and the toys and pillows just weren't cutting it. Soooooo..... I woke Mommy and Daddy up!! (Even though I know I am not supposed to do that.) But I got lonely. Daddy cuddled with me until I fell asleep again. He is the best Daddy in the whole world!! Later today, we are going to go visit my Aunt Lisa and my cousins, Rocky and Lacey! I love my Aunt Lisa, she is so funny :) I really want to play with Lacey but she won't play with me because Mommy and Daddy said she has "issues" but she is just my size and I want to rumble with her!! Sigh.....I think I might go take a nap now. I'm sleeeeeeeeeepy....

So I am home alone with mommy today and I really, really miss my Daddy. I have been walking around my house looking for him everywhere! Mommy says we will go visit Daddy a little bit later at this place called "work" I don't know but it doesn't sound like a very fun place. Sigh.........but anyway mommy and I napped a little bit and now I am on a mission to destroy my green doggie toy. Oh, and since I am getting used to my new house, I decided to be a little ornery today :) I had a little accident on the floor but I realized that was wrong and the next time I got that potty feeling, I ran to the door and let mommy know I had to go! That made her very happy and she gave me a very yummy apple treat. I am trying very hard to learn all the things that will make my Mommy and Daddy happy but it will take a few days because I get distracted pretty easily. There are so many new things to explore. I have to go attack my green doggie toy now........gotta go!!

My 1st day home!

So Saturday May 23rd (so mom says) My new parents drove all the way from Western, PA to pick me up in Millville, NJ. When they got there they got to meet my whole family and there is a TON of us! So we all went outside in the yard to play. When I saw my mom I knew it was her even though i've never met her before. I immediately ran to her and nibbled her chin! She tasted gooood!!! Then I ran over to daddy and gave him a big lick on the face!! They were really laughin at me! So we played for a while and they said it was time to go cause we had a long drive ahead of us. So we got in the Jeep and away we went. I never realized just how sleepy car rides make me. Within ten minutes I was out cold! So a few hours into the ride we pulled over cause I really had to pee! So I got out at a "TRUCK STOP" no pun intended... and I pee'd! I got back into the Jeep and we were back on the road! I cuddled with my mommy alot on the way home and I really fell in love with her, she's so soft and smells really good! So we got home around 11:30pm and I was exhausted! I came into my new home and sniffed the place out! After about 2 hours of play and a small case of the Zoomies I was ready for a good night sleep! What a crazy first day.
